Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of teaching theory of choice, performance orientation, and goal orientation and academic motivation of 9th grade female students of Bonab city. The research method was semi-experimental and pre-test-post-test design with control group. The statistical population of this study was all 9th grade female students of Bonab city in the academic year of 2016-2017. The sample consists of 30 students. Students were selected by cluster sampling and randomly assigned to experimental (15 persons) and control (15 persons) groups.. The instrument for collecting questionnaires was Valerendo College's academic motivation questionnaires, orientation of Elliott and McGregor, and McLearry and Bunting's self-efficacy. . All subjects completed their pre-test phase, then the experimental group was selected for the 8th session of the theory education and the second group (control) continued their classroom programs at the same time Finally, the post-test was taken from all the experimental and control groups In order to analyze the data, ANOVA was used.The results indicated an increase in self-efficacy, goal orientation and academic motivation of students in the experimental group compared to the control group in the post-test phase. Since the implementation of the theory of selection program led to increasing self-efficacy, orientation and academic motivation of students It will be. This program can be used as a useful program for schoolchildren.
