Abstract :
The political behavior of the people of Kufa has been rooted in their beliefs. In the Umayyad period, four specific doctrinal attitudes can be identified. Prominent ideas that somehow supported pro-government and anti-regime political behavior in Kufa; It can be divided into active and passive spectra. The active spectrum includes the Shiites of Imam Ali (as) who with their political uprisings led the Umayyads to fall and played the most important role in Kufa; Another is the Kharijites who were formed after the battle of Safin and were able to find followers. The passive spectrum included pure referencing and pure algebra that did not take political action. In this article, an attempt has been made to study the political performance of the people of Kufa during the Umayyad period with a historical perspective and a descriptive-analytical method. Thus, the influential components on the intellectual spectrum are expressed and the ideas that are passive and activating of political behavior are expressed. The aim is to highlight the impact of Kufa's pervasive ideas on political behavior and to classify the Kufa uprisings in the Umayyad period.
