The Presence of Deylamids in contemporary governments’ military system

Abstract :
The strategic situation of Daylam, for its vast mountainous virgin lands,has been the reason for appearance of fighters, combatants and warriorsfamiliar with special combating skills who were protecting theirboundaries from the enemies attack while defending their homelandindependence against them. These typical characteristics of the regionmade it as a suitable base for the central government opposition forces.And it was the reason that Allavid one of the first Iranian independentShiite governments contemporary with Abasid Caliphs’ dominationappeared.Daylamids, besides their innate characteristics and combating abilities,using Iranian old culture and tradition during different historical periods,specially, contemporized with contemporary governments and aftermathat least until the sixth of Hejri year and twelfth of Christian era couldattend in Iranian and Islamic armies in the form of military trainedgroups. The present article is an effort to the study of the reasons of theDaylamian presence and role during these periods.
