Abstract :
The purpose of the current research is to identify and examine the damage of the policy making process of the Islamic Republic in the virtual space of Iran. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach and its data was collected through semi-structured interviews. Also, the sampling method was snowball. The findings of the research have shown by using the method of analyzing the content of the text of the interviews, the harms of the policy making process in the virtual space were identified and divided into five general categories, which are: causal conditions (spirituality of the virtual space) and background factors (lack of trust, technical aspect and lack of rationality, hindrance to civilization), intervening conditions (easy access of people to communication tools, weak monitoring), strategies (creating a national information network, specifying needs and policy requirements) consequences (ability to relocate , specialization, competition with other social media) were brought up.
