Abstract :
Given the importance of manpower to organizations and the role played by it in growth and realization of goals of them, addressing this issue is among the concerns of today managers and in this respect, universities are of more importance as centers of training specialist and competent manpower. The aim of conducting this research is to identify human resource strategies in Islamic Azad University of Qazvin on the basis of strategic reference points approach .The present study is practical with respect to it` s aim and is a survey one from methodological view point. In order to collect data, questionnaires were used and for selecting sample, stratified random sampling method was used. Statistical methods used for data analysis were mean test and t- test. According to strategic reference point approach, the jobs were classified and they were divided in to two groups of faculty members (official/guest) and non-faculty staff. The latter in turn was divided in to two groups of academic staff and financial-clerical one. After performing analyses, the strategies appropriate to these jobs were indicated. For faculty members, contractor strategy and for non-faculty staff (academic and financial-clerical staff) contractor strategy with a trend towards secondary strategy were selected as superior strategies.
