Examine the relationship between self-efficacy and anxiety felt library in graduate students in university of Khwarizmi

Abstract :
Proper use of the library, especially academic libraries plays an important role in improving the quality of education and research. For some students, a university library is considered as a safe place to do research and study, but to some others these places provide some signs of anxiety. This research investigates the relationship between self-efficacy perception and library anxiety in M.A. students of Kharazmi University. The research method is descriptive survey. The study population consists of all M.A. students of Kharazmi University Out of which 335 individuals were randomly selected as samples; out of this number, 269 questionnaires were returned. For data collection, two questionnaires were used: For data collection, two questionnaires were used: Schwarzer self-efficacy questionnaire and Bostick's Library Anxiety Scale. The self-efficacy condition of the study population was satisfying. The library anxiety in the study population was less than average. The library anxiety was significantly high in females than in males (P< 0/02) and in M.A. students than in PhD students (P< 0/001). At the same time, self-efficacy was significantly higher in PhD students than M.A. students (P< 0/01). Levels of self-efficacy and library anxiety, have negative and significant relationship; Means that with an increase in self-efficacy of M.A. students, the library anxiety reduces.
