Abstract :
Among the works that have played a significant role in identifying the culture, civilization and art of ancient Iran, is the works of art of the Sassanid period, research on which removes countless unknowns. Signs of changes in the political history of the Sassanids can be found in the study of various works and especially the designs engraved on the crowns of the kingdom. The purpose of this study is to look at the political history of the Sassanid monarchy by studying several examples of crowns of the Sassanid period. This research is based on the purpose of basic research and based on the nature and method of historical-analytical research. The question that can be asked in this article is what is the reason for the different types of royal crowns in the surviving works and on what basis? By studying the Sassanid political history and deep reflection on the diversity and different designs of the Sassanid kings, it can be assumed that each of the Sassanid kings, according to the independence of thought, religion and the power of the creator of his own crown, was a sign of the king's power. The result of the study and analysis is that these crowns bring with them information about the political events and happenings in the history of the Sassanid dynasty. Sassanid princes from the beginning of the dynasty to the end of it used various crowns whose crowns are different from each other. It was partial and general.
