Considering the very high importance of adolescence, the purpose of the present study is to investigate the effectiveness of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) on aggression and self-concept of male adolescents over the age of 12 in quasi-family welfare centers. The research method is a semi-experimental type with a pre-test-post-test design and a control group. The statistical population of the research was all male adolescents aged 12 to 18 years, the sample size was measured by Morgan's table, and then 40 teenagers who met the criteria to enter the study were selected purposefully and then randomly divided into two experimental and control groups. These two groups then responded to the BUSS AND PERRY'S AGGRESSION QUESTIONNAIRE (1992) and Pierce-Harris Questionnaires (1969) in two stages. The sessions were held once a week in 45-minute sessions (totally 8 sessions) according to the treatment protocol. The data were analyzed by covariance test (multivariate and univariate) using SPSS software, version 26. The results showed 15.5% effectiveness on reducing aggression and 58% effectiveness on increasing self-concept by ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). Therefore, according to these results, acceptance and commitment therapy approach (ACT) can be used as an effective program by psychologists, counselors and workers in these centers.
