بشر امروز با وجود پیشرفتهای سریع خود در حوزه تکنولوژی و امکانات تشخیصی، هنوز با چالش قدیمی و جدی زئونوزها مواجه بوده و معضلات نوپدیدی و بازپدیدی آنها نیز بر مشکلات قبلی افزوده و گهگاهی سامانه بهداشتی کشور را با معضلی بغرنج مواجه میسازد. از بین 1415 بیماری شناخته شده در انسان، حدود 868 مورد (60 درصد) دارای عوامل چند میزبانه هستند، که بین گونههای مختلف رخ میدهند. در سه دهه اخیر تقریباً 75 درصد عفونتهای نوپدید جدید انسانی زئونوز بودهاند. در این مقاله با استفاده از مطالعههای کتابخانهای و جستجوهای الکترونیک، فهرست مهمترین زئونوزهای باکتریایی با نگاه ویژه به بیماریهای نوپدید و بازپدید وضعیت مهمترین زئونوزهای یادشده در ایران و جهان بر اساس مستندات منتشرشده داخلی و خارجی، نقاط ضعف و قوت سازمانهای مسؤول مورد بحث و بررسی و راهکارهای اصلاحی و چشمانداز آینده ارایه شده است.
