Abstract :
This research examines the effect of knowledge management in terms of the development of knowledge-based economy with the mediating role of entrepreneurial mentality.The current research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-survey in terms of its nature and method. The statistical population of the present study is the managers of Metro Company. In order to estimate the sample size, Cochran's formula was used, and the sample size was calculated as 73 people. A simple random method, which is a subset of probability sampling, was used for sampling. This study has collected data using a standard questionnaire whose validity and reliability have been confirmed. SPSS and PLS software and structural equation modeling were used to test the hypotheses.The findings showed that knowledge management has a positive and significant effect on knowledge-based economy and entrepreneurial mentality. In addition, entrepreneurial mentality has a positive and significant role in mediating the relationship between knowledge management and knowledge-based economy. The results indicate that knowledge is one of the main tools to respond to the knowledge-based economy, and having a human force with an entrepreneurial mindset plays a vital role in advancing the knowledge-based economy. This study addresses a gap in the literature on the relationship between knowledge management, the knowledge economy, and entrepreneurial mindset, and the results suggest that entrepreneurial mindsets function because ensuring that employees of companies recognize entrepreneurial opportunities is an important element in creating economies of scale.
