Investigating the organizational culture of primary schools based on the four dimensions of organizational culture of Diana Pheysey

Abstract :
The main purpose of this study is to examine the organizational culture of primary schools based on the four dimensions of organizational culture of Diana Pheysey (Salmas city case study). To this end, the Survey research method was used. Study population included 412 teachers which were selected through proportional stratified sampling. Sampling based on the results obtained (210 female teachers and 27 male teachers) were chosen as the subjects of study. To analyze the data’s, descriptive statistics methods (frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test) and then one-way analysis of variance were used to examine the research questions. After one-way analysis of variance, in order to determine the difference between individuals or groups, Scheffe's test was used. According to the results of the analysis, among the culture of duty, success, support and bureaucracy, the level of "duty culture" has been assigned the highest level. It is followed by "culture of success" and "culture of support" and finally "bureaucratic culture". The results of the research show that; among the culture of duty, success, support and bureaucracy, the level of "duty culture" has been assigned the highest level. Based on this, the participants with an average of 3.972 considered task culture as the most important culture in schools. The participants with an average of 3.577 believe that the success culture is one of the useful cultures for schools, ranking second. Participants with an average of 3.170 considered bureaucratic organizational culture to be the lowest level of school organizational culture.
