Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to provide a strategic model for transforming university libraries into learning organizations with emphasis on Islamic Azad University libraries. This article examines the impact of three components of continuous learning, research and dialogue and group learning to provide the desired model. The present research is of applied type and has been done by a mixed exploratory method (qualitative and quantitative). The statistical population consisted of 15 experts specializing in information science and knowledge for qualitative part, and all staff and administrators of Azad University libraries throughout the country for the quantitative part. The data collection tool was a semi-structured Delphi questionnaire in the qualitative part and a researcher-made questionnaire with seven components and 39 indicators of fuzzy Delphi process in the quantitative part. Qualitative data analysis with Delphi techniques was performed in three phases and for quantitative data, confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling technique with PLS software were used. The factor loadings of the model indices are all higher than 0.6 (acceptable range), which indicates the effectiveness of the indices in the formation of model components. According to Cronbach's alpha coefficient and combined reliability, the value of AVE was equal to 0.5, so all the criteria in the latent variables of the research were in the acceptable range. With 99% confidence, the appropriateness of the fitting status of the research component measurement models is confirmed. After Delphi analysis, 7 components and 39 indicators remained. The results of t-test in the quantitative part showed that there was a significant difference between the desired and current situations in all components of transforming Islamic Azad University libraries into learning organizations. The current situation is lower than the average compared to the desired situation. Due to the proper fit, the pattern presentation is presented. This article examines the impact of three components of continuous learning, research, search, dialogue and team learning to provide the desired model.
