Investigating the process of educating students based on the intelligence-enhancing approach in the elementary school social studies curriculum

Abstract :
The present study aimed to identify the dimensions of the intelligence-enhancing approach in the process of educating students in the elementary school social studies curriculum. Research Method: The qualitative research approach was conventional content analysis.The research population of the sixth grade elementary school social studies textbook in the academic year 1400-1401 was selected as a sample according to the nature of the subject of all 24 courses. In order to validate the accuracy of the data, the researcher's self-review method and rich data description have been used, and for the reliability of the data, simultaneous review has been used. Checklist was used to collect data and coded content analysis method was used to analyze the data. Findings: The findings of this study include 9 main categories, 32 sub-categories and 338 primary codes. These categories are different dimensions of the intelligence approach with the nature of emotional, managerial, economic, abstract, spiritual, environmental, historical, cultural and political intelligence.Therefore, these findings should be emphasized in order to properly needs assessment of multiple intelligences and realize their capabilities in line with student-centered projects.Conclusion: The results show that due to the flexible and multiple nature of the intelligence-enhancing approach in the social studies curriculum, a variety of learning opportunities are envisaged in the curriculum and in accordance with students' abilities, the development of intelligent curricula in the educational process is considered. On the other hand, teachers should develop meaningful learning in life in accordance with the characteristics of each dimension of the intelligence-raising approach.
