Abstract :
A fundamental and important aspect of organizational behavior is conflict between people that arise because of differences in feelings, goals, , and values among individuals. Conflict management, as a major approach in organizational behavior, attempts to control these conflicts by proposing several solutions. If Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh, as a unique epic work, is to be summarized into a few characteristics, certainly, the most important characteristic would be its conflicts and struggles together with their positive and negative impacts that seems to have overshadowed the entire work. in the current study, the interpersonal conflicts in Shahanameh have been extracted. Then, these cases of conflict have been decoded and adapted to the evidence at hand. Later, the styles of managing conflict presented in Shahnameh have been explained and the research question has been elaborated accordingly. In the current study, Ferdowsi’s managerial viewpoints have been discussed and it has been found that with the skills of a modern manager, Ferdowsi is familiar with principles and dimensions of this science and is attempting to make the most appropriate decisions in various situations, by having a through command of the condition at hand, he wants to stimulate people according to their needs and make diverse decisions in situations that are just superficially similar. The purpose of the current study is to show Ferdowsi’s major viewpoints and present his solutions and methods based on controlling and solving interpersonal conflicts and struggles that arise in various situations. This could be considered as a significant model for modern managers.
