A comparative study of the stylistics of the lexical layer in Asrar al-Tawheed and Tazkire al-Awaliya

Abstract :

Stylology is considered one of the most prominent sub-branches of literature and linguistic science, which comprehensively reviews the literary text. Stylistic investigation is organized in five phonetic, lexical, syntactic, rhetorical and ideological layers. In lexical stylistics, the most important factor is the accuracy of the types of words and the way they are used, which shows the owner of the work in this way, the owner of the style. The two works "Asrar al-Tawheed" by Abu Saeed Abul Khair and "Tazkireh al-Awaliya" by Attar are among the most influential and important works of Sufi prose, which, in addition to their important and outstanding mystical and historical content, are also worthy of attention in terms of style. Tazkira al-Awlia is a mystical book describing the lives of the Sufi elders and also the saints. Asrar al-Tawheed is also at the top of the literary heritage of the Persian language in terms of artistic value and the author's skill in various ways of expression and the way of telling stories and choosing words. While these two works have simple prose, they have hidden literary angles and norms that bring literary pleasure to the audience. In this research, the lexical layer, which is one of the sub-branches of layered stylistics, is tried to be investigated and analyzed in these two works. The investigations carried out show that the authors in these two works have unique stylistic coordinates in the lexical layer of the texts, and the similarities between the two mentioned works are
