Abstract :
The concept of identity as a social category is the most important psychological needs of human beings and the prerequisite of any social life, which has different dimensions and levels, including national, cultural, social, religious, civilizational, etc. This thesis aims to study the impact of social capital on the dimensions of national identity of the youth of eastern Golestan province with a statistical population of 280 thousand people, 18-30 years old residents of eastern Golestan province, using the Georgian Morgan table with a sample size of 390 people by means of a questionnaire and The survey method has been studied. The findings of the research show that the average social capital in the studied community is 3 out of 5, which indicates that the social capital is higher than average. The results of the statistical tests show that there is a relationship between the social capital and the national identity dimensions of the youth. The relationship between social capital and the "national, ethnic, modern and religious" dimensions of youth social identity is medium and positive, but its relationship with the ethnic dimension of youth social identity is stronger and more positive. The results of the path analysis test also showed that the dimensions of social capital It has a direct and significant relationship with the respondents' social identity. According to the findings of the research, it can be concluded that social capital plays a key role in strengthening national identity,
