جزیره کیش به عنوان یکى از مهم ترین مراکز تفریحى و تجارى ایران شــناخته مى شــود. موقعیت و وضعیت خاص جغرافیایى و تبدیل شــدن نام آن به عنوان یک برند گردشــگرى شــهرى در میان ایرانیان، به میزان توجهات به این جزیره افزود و به تبع آن ساخت وســازهایى جهت پاسخگویى به نیاز گردشگران و ســرمایه داران ایجاد شد؛ ساخت وسازهایى که بخش جنوبى کیش را به کارگاهى براى زیباســازى، رونق و پویایى نواحى شــمالى و شــرقى جزیره تبدیل کرده اســت. آنچه در حال حاضر حائز اهمیت مى باشــد، حفاظت و بازگرداندن روح دوباره زندگى )باز زنده سازى( این مناطق و استفاده حداکثرى از توان هاى بالقوه این بخش فراموش شــده از جزیره اســت؛ اما آنچه در رابطه با باز زنده ســازى این گونه فضاها مى بایست موردتوجه قرار گیرد، مسئله هویت هاى سازنده به شناختى کافى از مؤلفه ، شــهرها مى باشد. نیاز است قبل از هرگونه مداخله در جهت باز زنده سازى نواحى جنوبى هویت شــهرى کیش و سواحل جنوبى آن دســت پیدا کرد تا بتوان اجزایى هماهنگ و کثرت در عین وحدت را در جزیره کیش تجربه کرد. The transition from the industrial age and the growing impact of the global economy on humanlife which has led to rapid expansion of western urban design culture in countries like Iran, are among the reasonswhy nowadays there is only a memory left in our minds of our traditional cities. "Urban identity" is one of the mostimportant and most controversial issues among urban designers and other professionals involved in urban issues. Thisis a crisis faced by todays cities for years and has had direct and indirect effects on citizens everyday lives.Kish Island as one of the most unique island with coral reefs in the world is no exception. In this study, the componentsof urban identity in Kish are investigated from physical and content dimensions. Based on evaluations, the qualifiedvariables with specific and highlighted traits which play an important role in Kish Island identity are introduced. Manuscript profile
