    AbstractThe vortex gas injection into plasma torch is considered as a method for reducing electrodes erosion. In order to investigate the effects of vortex gas injection on plasma structure, as well as the effect of gas viscosity on the rate of rotation, a three-dimensional nonequilibrium and time-dependent non-transferred DC plasma torch model has been simulated. Viewing the general characteristics of the plasma shows that the model works well. The results have shown that if the components of the inlet gas velocity are not properly selected, it is possible that the rotary effects of the gas are greatly depleted even before the gas reaches the cathode tip and plasma formation. In this case, only the change in the axial component of the gas causes changes in the structure of the plasma. Vortex reduction is also observed during the movement of cold gases. It is observed that the change in viscosity of gas has significant effects on the rate of the vortex. پرونده مقاله

    AbstractAntibacterial surfaces such as titanium coatings are able to have capability in the human body environment. In this study, titanium coatings are deposited on the 316 stainless steel substrates by a handmade plasma spray system. Some mechanical, chemical properties and microstructure of the created titanium layer are determined to evaluate the quality of coating. The XRD, SEM, adhesion tests from cross cut and corrosion test by potentiodynamic are used. During the different stages, some of the parameters are changed in different samples to achieve the best quality in the coating. It is shown that by increasing the spray time, the production of nanoparticles begins. On the other hand, the best layers are created when the spray main gas flow rate has a certain amount. پرونده مقاله

    AbstractThe nonlinear Schrödinger equation (NLS) that describes the propagation of high intensity laser pulse through plasma is obtained by employing the multiple scales technique. One of the arresting solution for NLS equation is soliton like envelope for vector potential that is called electromagnetic soliton. The type and amplitude of electromagnetic soliton (EM) depends on the distribution function of plasma’s particles. In this paper, distribution function of electrons obey the Cairns–Tsallis model and ions are assumed as stationary background. There are two flexible parameters, affect on the formation of EM soliton. By variation of nonextensive and nonthermal parameters, bright soliton could convert to dark one or versus.     AbstractIn the present paper, our aims are the investigation of the effects of the spray parameters of the aluminum-coated layer on the microstructure and mechanical properties. For this purpose, we use the self-generated atmospheric plasma spray system for coating of aluminum on the carbon steel substrate to protect it against corrosion degradation. This system allows us to achieve the best choice for parameters. In this paper, the effects of spray distance and argon flow rate on the characteristics of aluminum coating are investigated. To obtain the results, the analyses are used such as X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope, micro hardness of the coating by Vickers method, and adhesion strength behaviors by pull-off test. The results show that the porosity increases with increasing distance. This phenomenon reduces the hardness and adhesion, which is clearly evident in our results. The other important conclusion is that, if the gas flow rate increases, the porosity decreases. It is shown that the best adhesion strength is obtained at the special value of the spraying distance. پرونده مقاله

    AbstractIn the present research, the effect of variations of the electron beam voltage on the output power is studied. In order to develop the study, this problem was investigated at different frequencies, which are the products of nonlinear behavior of the traveling wave tube (TWT) in response to the input frequency. Moreover, for a more realistic understanding, the tubes were considered with two linear and nonlinear responses to the input frequency. The TWT output power was calculated in linear and nonlinear modes, at different frequencies using the numerical solution of the mathematical equations of the Lagrangian model. Then, the output power in terms of distance and beam voltage in different frequencies was plotted and compared. The results revealed that the effects of variations of voltage on the output power were more proper in a single-mode TWT in comparison with a multimode one. پرونده مقاله

    AbstractIn this paper, the new slow-wave structure called wave-ring helix to enhance the power of the traveling wave tubes is introduced. In this new structure, without increasing the length and radius of the helix, the wave motion path can be increased to radiofrequency wave in phase with the electron beam. The results show that in the special frequency range the output power and gain are greater than conventional helix. In this paper, optimization results are presented in cold and hot tests on the new structure. The software CST is used in S-band frequency range. پرونده مقاله
