    Political participation is one of the important issues drawn to the special attention of various fields of social sciences and politics. Today, women as an effective group in participation and political participation especially have an important role in political decision-making. Therefore, the main objective of this study is to examine social factors affecting women's political participation in the city of Nahavand. In this study, the survey method was employed and the data have been obtained by using a questionnaire. The sample of the research consisted of Nahavandi women of 18 years of age and older out of which 400 women were selected based on Cochran formula and multi-stage cluster sampling method. The results of the research show that there is a significant relationship between women’s political participation and social capital variables, social class positions, mass media, political participation experience and political efficacy however, there is not a significant relationship between the variable of membership in civil organization and access to political figures and women’s political participation. Results obtained from regression analysis suggest that the variables of social capital, social class position, mass media, political participation experience and political efficacy explain totally 12% of variations in women’s political participation. Path analysis diagram also showed that social capital variable has a greater impact on women’s political participation than the other variables. Manuscript profile

    Over the past few decades, the family affected by the processes, and consequences of modernization has experienced profound changes in both objective-structural and semantic-subjective levels. The family has faced new issues, some of which represent progress and welfare, and some suggest traumatic social issues which reduce the pace of development in the society as hindering factors. Thus, the present study aims to examine the impacts of cultural modernization and the mechanisms of its effect on family values in the city of Nahavand. To this end, of the various factors and variables affecting the family in the process of modernization, such variables as risk-taking, reflection, and fading religious beliefs were selected as independent variables. Theoretical foundations of the variables and parameters are based on the theories of Smelser, Good, Giddens and Beck and Erich Inglehart. The method used in this research was survey, and the data-gathering tool was a reliable and valid questionnaire. The statistical population of this study consisted of eighteen-year or older members of Nahavandi families. The sample size of 390 people was obtained using Cochran formula and multi-stage cluster sampling method. The main method of data analysis was regression and structural equation modeling. The results showed that the three factors of cultural modernization namely risk-taking, reflection, and fading religious beliefs have been effective on the decline of family forms and emergence of its modern form. The risk-taking factor with (3.38) and the fading religious beliefs (with 3.02) have had the highest and lowest average respectively. And in general, the average of cultural modernization process in the study population was 3.25. Also, the results of multiple regression analysis indicated that the modernization factor and its components accounted for only 0.25 of the variance change in family values Manuscript profile

    The present survey study has been carried out to examine the impact of satellite programs on 300 young people who were permanently watching them. The authors used the theories of some scientists and sociologists like Klapper, Newman, Robertson, Harvey and Gidnez to clarify the variables. The results show that the more satellite programs will be watching, the religious identity is reduced. So, Satellite channels can affect cultural and social aspects of religions and even religious identity of some countries by presenting various programs in the context of consumerism. In case of lack of understanding of the consequences and lack of planning principles in using satellite programs, they can challenge religious, social and cultural backgrounds. Manuscript profile

This study aims to "investigate the effects on the social responsibility of young people on Post Modern Culture in Tehran. Theoretical Foundation of variables and parameters of the study on the theoretical basis by Harvey, Jameson, Bauman, Baudrillard, Giddens, Bourdieu, Inglehart, has been developed. In order to achieve this goal, the responsibility of the youth of the various influential variables as independent variables was used postmodern. In this study significantly dependent variable with independent variables were evaluated. Results from a survey questionnaire and data collected have its validity and reliability. The population of young people in Teheran comprises of about 18 to 29 years of age. SPSS results indicate that the responsibility variables affect postmodern. The results revealed that cultural postmodern significant relationship with the youth's responsibility. Taking a central component of the value (3.29) is the highest amount of average rethinking the value of the component with the lowest average value is 2.78. Manuscript profile
